'In their own words...'
We asked attendees of our most recent SyncUp retreat to tell us how they found the experience:
I came to the Sync Up retreat intrigued but still a bit skeptical since I had been doing quite a bit of work on understanding my motivations, beliefs and actions. What I did not expect was the depth of the work that happened in 4 days. During this time, I was able to better understand how my beliefs were shaping my feelings and actions in different circumstances. From that place of realization, I was given tools that I could use to get to the root of what was causing me to show up the way that I was. I was surprised at the breakthroughs that I had not only at the retreat but after the retreat was over. I left the retreat with a practical system that I could use every day to help me make shifts so that I could show up with more courage, calm and clarity. That was a game changer. Thank you so much for this work. Truly life changing.

I am walking away with tools that help me sort out my own thoughts and emotions in a way that makes them feel a lot less overwhelming in both personal and professional settings. This was a truly transformational experience that altered the way that I do my Self work as well as how I interact with, coach, and support leaders at work.
Cassie RoqueSenior Manager HR PMO Portfolio Management, The Walt Disney Company
This combination of learning new tools for leading and consulting, participating in a new community that is safe and supportive, and the stunning beauty of the environment made for a powerful personal and professional reset. I was on the verge of burnout, and feel newly empowered to take on the challenges I am facing in a healthy way.

If you are looking to take your leadership skills to the next level, this is it. What is, as Suzanne and Terri have described, below the water line does not have to stay out of view. You can uncover what is holding you back from being your most connected and effective self. This is the beginning of a journey that I am so grateful to be on. I returned from the retreat rested, inspired, and committed to bringing my best to my team and my profession.
Theresa GoodwinRegional Director at HPA Inc.
You open the door and issue the invitation and then you create a sense of wonder about what is possible. Better yet we practice it and leave with experiences that prove the veracity of the work you are both doing. It is truly generative. The work you do is the best possibility for lasting change, in me, in the organizations I touch, in the world space I am living.

My time at the Syncup retreat was truly magical. Suzanne Lahl and Terri Egan provided the framework and held the space for what felt like interactive, exponential growth. I left the retreat feeling lighter and yet more grounded. When I returned home, I realized what I learned provided me with new tools and a greater responsibility to myself. I am grateful for the time, memories, and the wonderful people I met and learned from; the work continues.
Evelyn WilliamsPrincipal Change Advisor at Prosci
This past year of unrelenting pace and change has caused me to question everything about myself and my capabilities. I needed to pause for deep reflection and am so glad I finally made this investment of time. I feel re-grounded, more in control of all the choices available to me, with a much better sense of my power. I could not have achieved this without the framework, facilitation, and community conversation in SyncUp's Dive into Conscious Leadership Retreat.

The Conscious Leadership workshop was incredibly transformative for me. During the four days, I explored my past experiences along with deeply-held beliefs and patterns that have shaped me as a person. I discovered parts that have enabled me to thrive and those that have limited my personal growth. I came away with a renewed clarity of purpose, optimism for the future, and a more integrated sense of Self that will help me in my personal and professional lives.

It's rare to come across a modality – therapeutic or otherwise – that is effective and has lasting impact. Suzanne and Terri of the SyncUp Leadership Group have masterfully integrated Internal Family Systems into a coaching program that permits years' worth of personal development work to be covered in just a few days. The tools I gained during the week-long workshop are simple yet powerful, and I know that I will continue to draw upon them time and again in both professional and personal contexts. Immediately following the workshop, I noticed changes in myself – in my ability to operate with greater clarity, calm, and conviction in my role as a leader at work, but also in my personal life. If you are looking to make an investment in yourself that continues to yield dividends, look no further.

The SyncUp program has armed me with tools to become a more conscious leader and increase my comfort with ambiguity, uncertainty and change. By focusing on self-facilitation first, this program helps leaders gain awareness of unconscious behaviors impacting decision-making and team dynamics so that we may create space for authentic collaboration and increase our organizational effectiveness.

SyncUp Retreats Deliver Results That Change Mindsets And Lives

“This is a unique development experience because the methodology is immediately accessible and impactful. Unlike other development approaches, this process is not outside of you, attempting to tell you who you are. Rather, this process gives you the means to work with what you already know about yourself and how you respond to situations. You inquire into yourself, your patterns of behaviors, reflecting on how some of your behaviors don't serve your intentions. Through self reflection you begin to know and understand yourself better, and see how you can shift your patterns with greater consciousness. You are doing this work yourself; no one is doing it to you or directing your new choices. The instructors provide a superb supportive environment in which to do this work. I highly recommend this program.”
